Create Your Own Mealplan
For those of you who don’t know, it’s very important to know how much food you are consuming. Whether your goal is to maintain or gain muscle or lose body fat, you have to have a roundabout idea of how many calories you’re consuming on a daily basis.
There are three main macro-nutrient groups you need to be tracking,: Proteins, Fats, and Carbs.
Proteins are the building blocks of life. Every cell in the human body contains protein. You need this in your diet to help your body repair cells and make new ones.
Dietary fats are essential to give your body energy and to support cell growth. They also help to protect your organs and keep your body warm. Fats help your body absorb some nutrients and produce important hormones.
Carbs are fuel for your body because they contain glucose, which is your body’s number one source of energy. Carbs are one of the most important macro-nutrients.
The worst possible thing you can do is to not give your body the right amount of food.
The best way I would advice you to track your food intake is to use a calorie counting app. My Favorites are “MyFitnessPal” or “LifeSum”. Simply log into one of these completely free apps and input your information and goals. The program will then calculate a certain amount of macronutrients for you to consume. Once you get the hang of tracking your food, it will eventually become a habit.
